[TC Review] VLC Media Player (VideoLAN Client) Detailed Review

Many of you might already tried this awesome Media Player on Your PC. We hope you found it interesting, as it loads quickly and capable to playback almost all audio and video formats and packed with many inbuilt features and options to customize the player as per your taste.

The Best thing we liked about VLC Media Player is that it is available for every platform, which includes VLC for Windows, VLC for Mac OS X, VLC for iOS Devices (iPad, iPod etc.), VLC for Android, VLC for Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, Open SUSE, Gentoo Linux, Fedora, Solaris as well as well as Red Hat Enterprise Linux). Though, we’ve tested the Windows Version of VLC and we are quite happy with its performance as i am personally using this player since several years and it is installed everywhere on MY Desktop as well as my Laptop.

Unlike its competitors, the VLC plays everything including DVDs, CDs and VCDs as well as it can stream media from devices. It features inbuilt codec packs so it won’t require any additional codec packs to play general or popular media formats. Despite from its Lightweight, it plays DVDs with full menu and 5.1 support, even you can control the video and sound playback with inbuilt options. It works with subtitles and it delivers unmatched performance for video playback with Mped2, x264, and DivX Player support. The VLC also comes with inbuilt Media Converter and Streamer, that lets you convert media formats as well as stream content in just some clicks.

Pros: Lighweight, Multi-Format and Multi-Platform Support, Faster Performance, Inbuilt Codecs (Not hassle to install additional codecs. Skins for better, enhanced and attractive looks.

Cons: Less Documentation provided, so basic-users can’t learn many features of VLC.

Though, Bad points are less, but Good Points are only there. Also, documentation doesn’t required by professional users. So VLC is just awesome player.
