Sony seems to be working hard on its Xperia series of phones and tablets. Recently the Japanese electronics giant came out with high tech smartphone Xperia Z (much awaited) and now some reports are pointing that they are updating Operating System of Xperia S Tablet from Ice Cream Sandwich to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Upgraded tablets will be available by the end of April or May, according to reports.
Xperia Tablet S is currently running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and many issues have reported in the device related to power and frequent shut downs. The upcoming upgraded version supposed to comes up with more good features and relax from the earlier issues.
The tablet is already available in the country with ICS Operating System and users will definitely get excite after this news. Sony adopted a slimmer design for Xperia Tablet S, which comes with a 23.8-cm (9.4-inch) IPS display and 1280×800 pixel resolution. The tablet has powered by a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. For clicking images, it sports 8 MP rear and 1 MP front-facing camera for video calling. It has equipped with fantastic 6000mAh battery.
The timing of Android update coincides with the Japanese brand’s launch of latest Xperia Z tablet. This device is pegged to be one of the slimmest in the world and comes with a 25.6-cm (10.1-inch) display and runs Android 4.1 aka Jelly Bean. The company had recently announced that Xperia Z will be available in India from May.
Earlier users bought it at Rs.25,000 upwards and such a news of Operating System updation will surely excite them.
