Panasonic has now expanded their Toughpad range with the announcement of the two new tablets, which runs Windows 8 and Android. The two new tablets are- Toughpad FZ-G1 and Toughpad JT-B1, which runs on Android and Windows 8 respectively.
Panasonic Toughpad series is primarily meant for people working in rigorous and challenging conditions, including workers of healthcare, aviation, automotive, military, telecom, construction, public safety, retail, construction utility of manufacturing. Panasonic stated that their devices are designed to manage all those hard environment conditions and comes with pre-installed applications to deliver highly secure data storage.
First in the series, is Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1, which was unveiled in CES 2013. It comes with Android 4.0 ICS OS, and boasts of a 7-inch display with 1080p (1024x600p resolution), and the screen is claimed perfectly readable in daylight (sunlight); thus screen is good for outdoor viewing. The company mentioned that this device is ideal for mobile workers in industries of oil & gas, and other aforementioned industries. The company stated that these devices are designed with enterprise grade features, and packed in a ruggedized build quality.

Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 Tablet is priced at Rs. 69,000 and comes with three-year limited warranty. The JT-B1 tablet was initially unveiled at MWC 2013.
Coming to the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 Tablet, it runs on 64-bit Windows 8 Pro. But if in case you dislike the current flavor of Windows OS, then there is an option to downgrade to Windows 7. Hardware is also powerful, which is Intel Core i5vPro Chipset, which will roll with Windows 8, or Windows 7 if you want to downgrade. The CPU is Intel i5 processor which runs coupled with a 4GB RAM, and offers upgrade up to 8GB. There is a 10-inch non-reflective HD touchscreen with 1920x1200p resolution. The screen is 10-finger multitouch which make sense.
Both of these devices are fully Water and Dust resistant, and Android powered Toughpad JT-B1 comes with IP65 certification and rated to survive a drop from up to 150cm height. The total of four products was launched, including Toughpad FZ-G1, Toughpad JT-B1, Toughbook JT-H300HT and Toughbook JT-H320HT.
