The most anticipated, the most discussed Motorola Android Tablet, is now officially introduced.
Motorola Mobility has officially announced Motorola XOOM, which is the first device powered by new Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system. Motorola XOOM runs on nVidia Tegra 2 dual core processor and 1GB DDR2 RAM, which makes it much faster compared to other tablets in the market. As this tablet is based on Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS, it enhance overall device performance and delivers superb user experience with Android favorites such as widgets, multi-tasking, browsing, notifications and customization and other latest Google Mobile innovations. It boasts 10.1-inch widescreen HD display with 1280×800 pixels resolution. The device comes with 32GB of internal storage and supports empandable storage memory with microSD slot.

Motorola XOOM enables people to connect with their friends always even while on the go. The tablet enables playback of HD content, it supports 1080p HD video, supports playback of flash videos and other rich web content with Adobe Flash Player. The device is equipped with HDMI output to display content on larger HD screens, 2-megapixel front facing camera for video chats, 5-megapixel a rear-facing camera that records video in 720p HD. The device provides console-like gaming performance on its 1280×800 display. It comes with a built-in gyroscope, barometer, e-compass, accelerometer and adaptive lighting for new types of applications, Google Maps 5.0 with 3D interaction and enables access over 3 million Google eBooks and thousands of apps from Android Market.
The tablet provides constant connectivity including Gmail or Exchange email, opening and editing documents, spreadsheets and presentations; and viewing calendars and sending out appointments or meeting notices with super fast mobile broadband speeds. The device features mobile hotspot capability, that provides an online connection for up to five other conncted Wi-Fi-enabled devices.

Motorola XOOM device will be launched as a 3G/Wi-Fi-enabled device in Q1 2011 (March 2011), and 4G LTE upgrade will be released in Q2 (Arround June 2011), Afther the upgrade – Motorola XOOM will be a 4G LTE/Wi-Fi- enabled device.
Interesting thing to note that Motorola XOOM will be the first device in the market to ship with Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS, because other Android 3.0 Tablets are not expected to be launch until May-June 2011.
