Gigabyte Launches S1080 Windows 7 Slate PC

Finally CES 2011 is over, many tablets showcased during 6-9 January 2011 time period by various companies, some of them succeed to attract people, some hadn’t. Gigabyte was also one of them. After foraying into tablet realm during CES, The World Leader in Computer Hardware Products, Gigabyte has today announced exciting new 10.1-inch S1080 slate PC. The S1080 tablet runs on Windows 7 Operating System and is powered by an Intel Atom N550 dual core processor. The sleek and stylish Gigabyte Tablet is ideal choice in mobile computing.

The Gigabyte S180 Slate PC (Tablet) weighs 0.90kg and comes with 320 GB in-built in storage, that allows people to store huge amount of data, videos, songs etc., and the larger hard disk makes this tablet perfect device to load custom business and enterprise applications. It is equipped with 10.1-inch multi-touch backlight TFT-LCD Display with 1024×600 resolution. Its stunning display produces bright and clear images and enables consumers to use it as a  charm device during business meetings and presentations.

The Gigabyte S1080 features USB 3.0 that provides blazing fast transfer speeds, built-in VGA port for connecting an external monitor and projector to diplaying output on larger display. The Gigabyte S1080 is the a amazing mobile device, it comes with wireless 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0, which makes easy to access email and the internet  wherever the rang of mobile tower (hotspot) is available. It also features 1.3mp webcam for video calling.

The Gigabyte S1080 comes with onscreen navigation functionality, it comes with 10.1-inch capacitive multi-touch display featuring For onscreen navigation, its 10.1-inch capacitive multi-touch display features the Windows 7 on-screen keyboard and handwriting recognition software, that makes easier to navigate the display with comfort of fingers and fun. Apart from this, it also offers easy way to navigate by just pressing the navigator button and left and right mouse button that easily moves the cursor arround the screen enables user to doing everyday tasks such as access applications and edit documents conveniently.

Well… there is no official word from Gigabyte regarding S1080 slate PC (Tablet) availability and pricing. But it is expected that it will be priced arround $300 (Approx Rs. 13,600). Well, at this time we can’t say when it’ll launched here in India, but is sure that it will be priced slightly higher than mentioned.
