Asus MemoPad 7 Tablet Launched in India at Price tag of Rs. 9,999

Now  days, there is tremendous pressure on tablet prices for companies like Acer, Apple and others. Last week, Acer officially announced, Acer Iconia B1-A71, a 7 inch Android flagship device that might cost $149 at most –and as little as $99 in some parts of the world.  Today, Asus has Launched MemoPad 7 in India. This tablet meant to take on Acer’s new tablet in low-end Android tablet war. Asus has stripped-down the hardware to make it one of the best budget tablet in the market. As we reported, Asus MemoPad was leaked in January.

The MemoPad 7 has 7 inch capacitive multi-touch screen display, with a  resolution of  1024×600 pixels. It runs on android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, similar to Acer’s Iconia B1. But, what makes this tablet different is that a 1GHz WonderMedia PRIZM WM9850 processor powers, instead of dual-core MediaTek processor.

Memory Storage and Connectivity:

Let’s talk about the display, it equips with 7-inch(1024x600p) capacitive 10 point multi-touch display with 170 PPI and offers 140- degree wide viewing angle. The brightness of the display is 350 nits, which make the device quite attractive.

Camera:

MemoPad 7 has 1 MP front-facing camera with BSI sensor without rear camera but tablet can record 720p HD resolution video at 30 fps.

Display:

Let’s talk about the display, it equips with 7-inch(1024x600p) capacitive 10 point multi-touch display with 170 PPI and offers 140- degree wide viewing angle. The brightness of the display is 350 nits, which make the device quite attractive.

Battery Life:

As battery life is concerned, a 4270 mAh internal battery is sufficient to maintain the tablet with up to 7 hours of battery life.

Thickness and Weight:

The MemoPad 7 has 11.2 mm thickness and weighs 370 grams.

Applications:

It will include certain additional applications like Super-Note Lite, ASUS Studio, MyBitCast as well as 5 GB of online storage through its webstorage service.

MemoPad 7 will come in three different colors that are Sugar White, Titanium Gray and Cherry Pink. The Back unit of the device has diamond checkered, which provides a bit more stability when user handles the unit.

Price and Availability:

The new Asus MemoPad 7 is available in the market with an eco-friendly price tag of Rs. 9999, the US price is $149 as compared to $199 for Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD. If sources are correct, then tablet is expected to be available in the U.S. market in April 2013.
