Steps/ Tutorial to Root Micromax A50 Superfone Ninja on Android 2.3 Gingerbread Firmware with a Complicated Procedure
Step 1: First of all, turn off your A50 Device, becasue it is mandatory for this process.
Step 3: Extract the downloaded package in your computer, and then open the folder. Make sure you got files such as ‘original a50 boot.img, boot, mt65x3-usb-vcom-drivers.rar’, MT6573_Android_scatter, SP Flash Tool v2.1134.00, and unlockroot23‘.
Step 4: Now, simply extract the files from compressed package ‘mt65x3-usb-vcom-drivers.rar’, after extracting open the folder where extracted folder is located, and then open Install Driver.exe, this will install the drivers on your system, which are required for flashing procedure. If you’re running a 64-bit Operating System in your PC, then you need to open installdrv64.exe.
Step 5: After installing the drivers, now you need to extract the package ‘SP Flash Tool v2.1134.00.rar’ in a folder in your computer, and then extract the same. You will need this software to flash the rooting file.
Step 6: Now, After that in the same folder, also open and Install ‘unlockroot23.exe’ in your PC.
Step 7: Now, it’s turn to flash the rooting package (insecure boot.img) on your phone. Simply open ‘Flash_tool.exe’ which you got after extracting package in Step 4.
Step 8: After Flashing tool opens us, Navigate to Select File>Open Scatter-loading file.. and then browse and select MT6573_Android_scatter.txt which is located in path A50 Ninjaromdump. Uncheck everything on the interface.
Step 9: After loading the .txt file in Step 7, you may get a popup message stating error message, related to bootloader files and failure etc.
Step 10: Now, Simply click on the option BOOTIMG, then browse and select boot.img which is located in extracted Directory of a50_ROOT (Step 1 &2).
Step 11: Now, without turning on your phone, simply remove the battery from your phone, and then insert it back. Please do not turn on the phone, and then connect it to PC with the USB Cable.
Step 12: Windows will start finding and installing the drivers for your phone, after installation of drivers simply disconnect phone from computer. Once again remove the battery and then re-insert again, please do no turn on the phone.
Step 13: Now on the Flashing Tool interface in PC, simply click ‘Download’ Button, and then before 15 seconds connect your phone again to PC. You should see a Yellow progress bar in the PC, which should reach 100% and then a pop up window would appear, which should display ‘BOOTIMG downloaded.
Step 14: Process of Step 13 has flashed the boot.img to your phone. Now you must disconnect your Micromax A50, disconnect and then re-insert it, then simply switch on the phone and let boot properly.
Step 15: Now, this is turn to Final Rooting process of your device. Firstly Navigate to settings>Applications>Check the option unknown sources. Then navigate to settings>Applications>Development>Check USB Debugging.
Step 16: Now, Install ADB Drivers without turning off phone. ADB would probably failed to find drivers for A50. Navigate to the Device manager>Right Click Micromax A50>Update Drivers>Browse my Computer for Drivers>Click on the option Let me pick from a alist of drivers> On the popup click Google Inc.>ADB Interface>Next> Click Yes which will start installing the drivers.
Step 17: Now open ‘Unlock Tool’, which you’ve installed in Step 6:
