- Ensure that you have installed Latest Drivers of Huawei in your Computer. You can download Huawei MediaPad USB Drivers.
- Make sure that your Huawei MediaPad should be charged at minimum of 70% to complete the process smoothly without any power shortage.
- Disable or Uninstall all of the Anti-Virus and Firewall Software from your computer, so that process can be completed smoothly without any problem.
- Backup all the data from your Tablet, including your Contacts, Songs, Videos or everything, which you backup in the microSD card of MediaPad tablet, this would safeguard against possible data loss.
- Turn On USB Debugging, at path of Huawei MediaPad ‘Settings>Applications>Development>USB Debugging and then check the option.

How to Upgrade Huawei MediaPad / SpringBoard to Latest Android 4.0 ICS Already Rooted ROM Firmware
Step 1: You need to download the Pre-Rooted Android 4.0 ICS for Huawei MediaPad / SpringBoard to your computer. Download Link.
Step 2: Now, the file which you have downloaded in Step 1, find and extract the DLOAD folder from the compressed zip file.
Step 3: Connect your Huawei MediaPad or Huawei SprintBoard T-Mobile to your computer. Though, you have optional to using MTP via USB cable or even you can use a card reader to copy the file (stated in Step 4).
Step 4: Now, just copy that DLOAD foloder (Extracted in Step 2) to the root of your device’s SD card.
Step 5: After copying the file, simply Turn off your Device.
Step 6: Now, if you have removed the microSD card from the Device (if using card reader to copy file), then you have to re-insert it now.
Step 7: After re-insert the micro-SD card, you can Turn On the Huawei MediaPad. After Power On the tablet, ROM installation would be started automatically. Just you need to follow the onscreen instructions.
Step 8: During the process, Once screen will mention to remove microSD card, just remove microSD card.
Step 9: The device would get reboot, and then you can delete the DLOAD Folder from the microSD card in the meantime.
Step 10: After device would get booted, find and copy the sanixupdate folder (from the file downloaded in Step 1) to the Device’s internal storage. For that you need to connect device to the computer firstly once again.
Step 11: After copying the file to root of internal storage of MediaPad, simply Power Off the device and Reboot.
Step 12: The process will take few moments, after reboot, you would be welcomed by latest Android 4.0 ICS Interface, which has provided you root access as well.
Please Note: As i have stated in Step 9, deleting the DLOAD Folder from SD card is necessary. Because it will keep flashing your tablet every time it will get boot. If your device won’t boot successfully after installation of this ROM, please remove battery, re-insert it and then repeat the process again.
