How to Root, Unlock Bootloader, Install custom Recovery on HTC Vivid using All-in-One Toolkit

HTC Vivid is a well known 4G LTE enabled Android Smartphone. Vivid was powered by Scorpion dual core processor clocked at 1.2Ghz and Adreno 220 GPU. It came with Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread and 8MP camera. XDA developer forum member hasoon2000 has launched an All-in-one toolkit which has almost required rooting and unlocking features inbuilt facilitated with one click working. Check below for detailed features of HTC Vivid All-in-one Rooting unlocking tool:

  • Install HTC Drivers
  • Unlock Bootloader (Must place Unlock_code.bin in the folder)

  1. We suggest a full Backup of your device. Backup your contacts, SMS, call logs, data settings and personal files.
  1. Enable USB debugging on HTC Vivid. Go to settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging and check the option.
  1. Download the HTC Vivid All-in-one Tool here on your PC. Extract the zip, do not rename the folder.

How to use the Tool to Root and unlock bootloader:

  1.   2. Click the button named as “Install HTC Driver”. This will install the latest HTC Driver on your PC. Now, connect your HTC Vivid with your PC, check if USB debugging is enabled.
  3. Now, click the 2nd button “register at HTCDev”. This will take to HTC developer site and you can register you detailed to get the Token ID to unlock the bootloader.
  4. Once you get the Token ID, Click “Submit Token ID” and provide the code. Now, click the “Unlock Bootloader”. This will unlock the bootloader.
  5. Now, there is button named “permanent Root”. {Right now it’s not in the screen shot and it was added to latest version of tool recently”}. Click the button and it will Root and install Super user app on your phone.
  6. Now, you can Click CWM button to install ClockWorkMod recovery on your HTC Vivid.
