Now, PocketBook International S.A. has revealed PocketBook A7 Multimedia Reader cum Android Tablet, to compete with Kindle Fire. It is undoubtedly bigger competitor of Amazon’s eReader. They are going to have a blast in the market, but we have to see who wins. Amazon Kindle Fire  has an elegant looks, the back of the device is made of rubber, that ensures that it can’t get scratches very easily. The display is 7-inch IPS enabled multi-touch display, along with 1024×600 pixels resolution and anti-reflective technology.

On the other hand, Pocketbook A 7 boasts better quality exteriors. The casing is made with white plastic, and back panel is constructed from dark plastic with rubber type soft touch. This is also scratch resistant, and casing is built with touch of aluminium-magnesium. Now it comes display, the 7-inch multi sensor color display features 1024×600 pixels resolution for vibrant and effective colors, in 16:9 form factor or aspect ratio of display. The weight of this device is 413g.

Amazon Kindle Fire device measures 7.5″ x 4.7″ x 0.45″, which is equal to 190 mm x 120 mm x 11.4 mm. The weight is 412g.

The price for Amazon Kindle Fire is available for $199 at Amazon.com. But pricing for PocketBook A 7 is not announced yet, but it will surely retail for around $150. We will update the pricing, once it gets mentioned by the company.

Pocketbook A 7 is giving tough competition to Amazon Kindle Fire. In some terms, PocketBook A 7 is mostly winner also, except it is some thicker than its competitor. Both of the devices supports all major image formats including JPEG, BMP, PNG. Both of them can readIt is almost looking better option in some terms, but its losing the competition to due to its single core processor. Overall, both the devices can be your first choice. Both of them can read major formats like TXT, DOC, DOCX, PDF and others. Kindle Fire features its dedicated document format, AZW. Amazon Kindle Fire offers more productivity, accessories, Features content and also offers Cloud Storage. Hence, its up to you which suits to your requirements, but still Amazon Kindle Fire would be better choice as of now, and its dual core processor is gaining more points in favor.
